1.1 and 1.2 Introduction and Perspective:- The Social Welfare Department is functioning in the Satara Zilla Parishad. Through this department, work is being done to bring about comprehensive development through various development schemes with the aim of changing the living conditions of the backward class people in the rural areas of Satara district and the disabled people in the rural areas, and to bring about comprehensive changes in their educational, social, family, economic empowerment, living conditions, etc.

1.3      Objective and task:- Providing information about various schemes implemented by the Zilla Parishad/Government for the backward class and disabled beneficiaries in rural areas of Satara district, providing benefits of schemes implemented from the own funds of the Central Government, State Government, Zilla Parishad. The benefits distributed through various beneficial schemes for backward class individuals, students and disabled persons are transferred directly to the beneficiary account through DBT.
