National Family Welfare Program
Under the state’s population policy, the National Family Welfare Program is implemented in the Satara district to control the increasing population and achieve the objectives. This program emphasizes family welfare procedures such as female and male sterilization surgeries, IUDs (Copper T), contraceptive pills, condoms, and the distribution of birth control pills. Family welfare sterilization surgery facilities are available in the IPHS centers, 1 General Hospital, 2 Sub-District Hospitals, and 18 Rural Hospitals in the district.
Beneficiary:
Eligible beneficiaries between the ages of 15 to 45 years.
Benefits:
After family planning surgery, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹1,450.
How To Apply
Eligible beneficiaries can apply for surgery or other contraceptive measures by undergoing a health checkup at the nearest health center and submitting the application to the concerned health officials or medical staff.
