1.1) Introduction to the Department
The Agricultural Department is active in the Satara Zilla Parishad, and through this department, the following activities are carried out for farmers in rural areas of Satara District:
- Guide agriculture.
- Disseminate information on modern agricultural technology.
- Inform about the schemes implemented by the Central and State Governments.
- Provide financial benefits to beneficiaries from schemes conducted through the Satara Zilla Parishad’s funds.
- Inspect samples of chemical fertilizers, medicines, and seeds.

The department provides the following services to farmers in rural areas of Satara district:
- Information on modern agricultural technology, advanced agricultural tools, fertilizers, seeds, organic fertilizers, and organic farming.
- Information on various schemes.
- Benefits from schemes implemented by the Central Government, State Government, and Zilla Parishad Satara own funds.
- Direct transfer of subsidies to beneficiaries’ accounts through (DBT) for approved beneficiaries of various schemes.

3) Citizens’ Charter
- The Agriculture Department, Zilla Parishad Satara, does not charge service fees from beneficiaries under the Citizens’ Charter. However, a prescribed application form for individual benefit schemes provided by the department is attached. The completed application form and the documents mentioned in the application should be submitted to the concerned Block Development Officer.
