Dahiwadi – Dahiwadi is the main place of the taluka. Man is not the name of a village but the entire region is referred to as Man. Manadesha is an area that is always under the shadow of drought. In Mhaswad, you can see old-style, specifically architectural houses with thatched roofs.

Gondavale – Gondavale is a village located 70 km from Satara on the Satara-Mhaswad road, beyond the town of Dahiwadi in Man taluka. It is also known as Ramdev Sansthan. It is the birthplace and samadhi place of Shri Brahmachaitanya Gondavalekar Maharaj, who preached the glory of chanting and food donation. He showed the path of devotion to the people and emphasized the importance of food donation. The samadhi of Maharaj is on the ground floor inside the temple. To see it, you must descend a few steps. Above the samadhi are beautiful Shriram, Laxman, Sita, and Hanuman idols. Regular bhajan and pravachan programs are held in the temple’s hall. To the north of the temple are two large halls where devotees are given mahaprasad. To the west of these halls are two tall and massive buildings where arrangements for devotees’ stay are made. The entire temple structure is of modern design and was built in 1936-37.

Every year on the day of Margashirsha Shuddha Pratipada, a grand fair is held here, with a large chariot procession. Before this, a twelve-day wedding ceremony of Shri Siddhanath and Devi Jogeshwari is celebrated from Kartik Shuddha Pratipada to Dwadashi. In the temple’s assembly hall, there is a stone statue of an elephant encased in an iron mesh. The main spire of the temple is over 100 feet tall. Shri Siddhanath, also known as Kalabhairav, is a form of Shankar. He holds weapons like a trident, a drum, and a spear. He wears a rudraksha mala and a garland of human skulls. In his left hand, he holds a demon’s head, from which blood is consumed by a dog. A snake is around Siddhanath’s waist and head. Mata Jogeshwari is a form of Parvati, holding weapons like a trident, a drum, and a snake. At her feet is an idol of Agnibaal, the son of Siddhanath. There is a special crowd for Siddhanath’s darshan every Sunday. Shri Siddheshwar is the family deity for many people in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

There is a tradition of bringing water in a kava (shoulder pole) to pour on the idols.
